Brazilian Grand Prix 2026: F1 Returns to Interlagos This Weekend

Formula 1 heads to São Paulo this weekend for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. The race is on Sunday 8 November, with the start scheduled for 17:00 GMT. That is 18:00 in central Europe and 14:00 in São Paulo.

It is a good one for expats to plan around: no middle-of-the-night alarm for viewers in Europe, and a Sunday afternoon race for people in Brazil. The circuit is known as Interlagos, though the event is officially the São Paulo Grand Prix.

The weekend at a glance

  • Friday 6 November: practice sessions at Interlagos.
  • Saturday 7 November: final practice and qualifying.
  • Sunday 8 November: Grand Prix, scheduled for 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET; 14:00 in São Paulo).

Times can shift if the weather or race control intervenes, so check the broadcaster’s schedule before lights out. Interlagos has a compact lap, elevation changes and the famous Senna S at the start of the lap. If rain arrives, the weekend can change quickly.

Watching from another country

F1 viewing rights vary by country. The service you used at home may not carry the same coverage after a move, and local packages can have different commentary or session availability. Check which channels are available where you live before the weekend, especially if you want practice and qualifying as well as the race.

For many people, sport is the easiest way to keep a familiar Sunday routine after moving abroad. Our guide to watching live sport abroad covers the practical side, including time zones.
