This weekend the Formula 1 circus moves to Singapore, and it is the first night race of the season under the Marina Bay lights. After his win in Malaysia last Sunday, Verstappen arrives with momentum, and the battle behind him is tight enough that a street circuit can flip the order completely. One mistake into the walls here and your race is done.
When is the Singapore Grand Prix?
The race weekend runs Friday 9 October to Sunday 11 October, round 17 of the 2026 season. It is a sprint weekend, so there is competitive action on all three days. Local time, lights out on Sunday is around 20:00 in Singapore. For expats that means an early-evening race in Europe and an early-morning start in the Americas. Check your local broadcaster for the exact slot where you live.
What happened last time out
Verstappen took the win at Sepang, with Russell and Antonelli also on the pace all weekend. McLaren got their tyre strategy wrong and paid for it, and young Arvid Lindblad grabbed a surprise points finish for Racing Bulls. The championship gap has not been this small in months, which makes Singapore interesting: no room for errors on a track this narrow.
How to watch it abroad
F1 rights change by country. In the UK it sits with Sky Sports and Channel 4, the US has ESPN, Australia has Fox Sports and Kayo, the Netherlands has Viaplay. Move abroad and your home subscription usually stops working, because every service geo-blocks outside its own region. Some expats juggle two or three local subscriptions to cover the season. Others go the simpler way: with an IPTV subscription for live sports abroad you get the F1 channels from home plus the rest of your domestic line-up in one place.
It works on a Fire Stick, Android box or smart TV, and setup takes minutes. Our guide to the best devices for IPTV explains which box fits your setup.
Follow the news from your country, live
Missing the evening news, the morning shows or the big match back home? With an IPTV subscription the channels from your country come straight to your screen, wherever you live.
See the full worldwide line-up on our Channels & Coverage page, then start a free 24-hour test and check your own channels in minutes.
