Tuesday and Wednesday, the big one is back
The Champions League returns this week for Matchday 3, and after the international break the timing is good. Tuesday 20 October brings Liverpool v Villarreal at Anfield, Manchester City v AEK Athens, and PSG v Barcelona in Paris. Wednesday adds Bayern Munich v Arsenal in Munich and Atletico Madrid v Manchester United. Two proper nights of football.
Then the weekend keeps rolling. Saturday 24 October has Aston Villa v Manchester City at 12:30 and Chelsea v Tottenham at 17:30. On Sunday 25 October Liverpool host Brighton and Manchester United play Bournemouth at 14:00, with Sunderland v Leeds closing the round at 16:30.
Why this round matters
Three games in, the league-phase table starts telling the truth. Teams that won their first two can’t hide any more, and anyone chasing a top-eight spot, which means skipping the February play-off round, has to win games like these. One bad week here and a comfortable club turns nervous.
The expat problem: rights that don’t travel
Here’s the thing nobody warns you about when you move abroad. The match your friends watch back home might not be on TV in your new country at all, or it sits behind a broadcaster that geo-blocks you the moment you log in from overseas. Sorting it out per match, per app, gets old quickly.
An IPTV subscription handles it the boring, reliable way: one line with the sports channels from your country plus the international ones, working wherever you happen to live. You pick the match, you watch the match.
